Luke Grimes is back. Again. As Kayce Dutton. The guy who survived a lot. Now he is playing judge. Jury. Executioner. Maybe. Marshals is airing right now on CBS, or if you prefer scrolling on a couch, Paramount Plus has it too. It is a spinoff. Obvious enough. The synopsis calls it “range justice in Montana,” which is Sheridan-speak for “things get violent outdoors.”
Grimes joins the US Marshals Service. Elite unit. Navy SEAL past checks out. He isn’t alone. Thomas Rainwater is there (Gil Birmingham), as is Mo (Mo Brings Plenty). Even Tate shows up, played by Brecken Merrill. The whole cast feels like a family reunion, albeit a tense one.
Taylor Sheridan produces. Spencer Hudnut runs the show. The series used to be called Y: Marshals, but names change, the blood doesn’t.
When the hell is Episode 12 coming out?
Sunday. May 17. If you are asking how to watch, it depends on your wallet and your subscription tier. It is annoying. It always is.
If you have Paramount Plus Premium? You get live TV. Local CBS included. Watch it as it happens. Sunday night. 8 p.m. East.
Essential plan holders? Wait. You stream it the next day. Monday, May 18. You don’t get the Sunday buzz. Just the catch-up. Is it fair? Probably not. But it is how the machine works.
The next few nights look like this
Here is the schedule for the next couple of weeks. No surprises in the timing. Same window, different names.
- Episode 12: The Devil at Home
- Live on CBS/Premium: Sunday, May 17, 8 p.m. ET / PT. 7 p.m. CT.
- Essential: Monday, May 18.
- Episode 13: Wolves at the Door
- Live on CBS/Premium: Sunday, May 24, 8 p.m. ET. 7 p.m. MT.
- Essential: Monday, May 25.
Set your alarms. Or don’t. The wait kills anyway. > Kayce has never been one for waiting. Maybe the marshals can teach him some patience. Probably won’t stick.
We’ll see if the justice system works on him. It rarely does.
